EPMG Interns Rock!

Interns do make the media world go round for several hundred reasons, energy and excitement at the workplace are probably the two biggest reasons! At EPMG we are celebrating the arrival of two very talented interns that have skills and drive! Meet Elizabeth and Heather!

Heather Calvillo

Heather spends her mornings in class and around campus at UTEP where she is a Print Media major. In the afternoons, you can find her at the EP Media Group offices writing stories for El Paso Magazine and epmediagroup.com or chatting with Elizabeth Ruiz the other intern (see below and to your right).

This internship is Heather’s first venture into the world of print journalism. Before this, she spent a semester at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University.

Elizabeth Ruiz

Other than writing this self-indulgent bio, Elizabeth Ruiz spends her days at EP Media Group writing content for Newspaper Tree, epmediagroup.com, and El Paso Magazine, taking supplemental photos and videos, and eating leftovers from the food reviews that are left in the refrigerator.

Previously to her internship at EPMG, she was editor in chief of The Rattler Newspaper at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio and had an editorial internship while she studied abroad in London. She is now enjoying the arid temperatures and the perpetual influx of Mexican food back home.
